Carmen de Andacollo Copper Mine

This 92 meter diameter stockpile dome was the fourth dome supplied to this miner. Dust control was a major factor at this mine where dust was affecting mining operations and the nearby town. Environmental legislation in Chile requires mining companies to cover their mineral stockpile in order to contain and prevent dust pollution. The dome was installed while the stockpile was working without the need to interrupt operations.
