Zour, Kuwait 2019
The sulfur refinery (part of a larger oil refinery) is located in the Port of Al-Zour on the Persian Gulf. The Port Facility Project consisted of two 88 meter diameter aluminum domes. Aluminum was chosen because of the corrosiveness of sulfur.
The project was carried out in coordination with EPC companies from South Korea, the US and Spain. This was Triodetic’s first Port Facility Project, but not the last. It has already begun two new projects in 2020-21 in the Province of Quebec, Canada along the St. Lawrence Seaway.
